Storytime!
Toddler time is on Wednesdays at 10:30
3-year-old storytime is on Thursdays at 10:30
Baby Time is on Fridays at 10:30

Storytime is an interactive experience for little ones and their caregivers.
Each week we read a few books, sing a few songs, interact with the flannel board, and enjoy getting to know each other with lots of silliness. And of course, the star of the show is Harry (aka Mr. Whuffles) who comes around at the end to tell you what your fingers taste like! Fun!
It's a wonderful way to spend a morning with your kids.

Toddler Time
This program is designed for two-year-old's and their special caregivers. It lasts for roughly 20-30 minutes. There is a lot of singing (very badly on the part of the librarian!) and usually 2 or 3 short books. We break it up with lots of fingerplays (The Itsy Bitsy Spider is a fingerplay) or a flannel board story or a craft or scarf songs or instruments! Each week is a different experience.
Three year old Storytime
This program is designed to meet the needs of an increasingly independent three year old, along with their special caregivers. This story time is centered around a theme. Each week we will sing, and we do fingerplays (although not quite as many as in Toddler Time) and read stories are a little bit longer. Not to mention we often have to have a round of The Silly Dance Contest! This story time lasts for a good half an hour. And then we often go longer while doing the craft.
Harry Whuffles, the finger-tasting puppet
Crafts in our storytime focus on "process" not "product":) So, while you won't end up with that gorgeous keepsake craft you will hopefully have fun and maybe use lots of glue!
Winter Storytime is back in full swing. Please note, that if the Wachusett school district is closed for inclement weather, so is the library!
Baby Time is one of the sweetest programs we offer. Babies (under 2) and their special caregivers get to enjoy crawling, laughing, terrible singing, puppets and stories. It is a very relaxed setting, where moms are welcome to nurse, babies are welcome to crawl and everyone is welcome to have fun. And maybe learn a little baby sign language!
